Spiderman - Themed Cake
Birthday is a special
day, especially when it is little children's birthday. Lighting of candles,
singing the birthday song and cutting the sweet birthday cake are the common
things included in a birthday celebration.
People make birthday cakes according
to the likes, of the birthday person. Small kids mostly like birthday cakes
designed with their favorite fictional characters. One of such characters liked
by children is Spiderman. Spiderman is one of the most famous superhero
known all across the world.
Here is a birthday cake made for two little cuties,
Ruth & Zac, who likes Super heroes -
Spider man
WISHING YOU BOTH A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Love you :)

Toadstool / Mushroom Themed Birthday Cake
How cute is this!? I wish I could have someone
make me this cake for my birthday.
Girly birthday cakes are much more fun to make! The colors are vibrant, red, pink, yellow, green! Loved it. Here's another one for the collection.
A Toadstool Birthday Cake made for our friend's daughter ALEENA, who is celebrating her 12th birthday. This is my favorite .
WISHING
YOU VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEENA...
As I mentioned earlier, that I am not a great cake
decorator. So when making children’s novelty cake, I am truly out of my
depth. I have no idea how I made it. Thank God, as things often do, it turned out well.
For the cake, I baked 3 chocolate cake sponges in two different sized bowls. Two
cakes, in 6’’ round cake pan and one in a
medium sized dome pan, which I used as the top. Once I baked the round cakes, I cut it from the middle with a round cake ring. Then I layered the cakes and put the
butterscotch frosting as filling in between. I iced both cakes separately
with a generous helping of butter icing and allowed it to “set” in the fridge
before proceeding with the decorating as I wanted the cakes to be nice and firm
to work with. I used fondant for decorating the whole cake.
Wow, she shouted “Toadstool Cake”, the minute she
saw it, and I saw the biggest smile when I delivered the cake. I have to say, even I was very impressed with my efforts.
*Smiles*

Chocolate Swiss Roulade and Cup Cakes
Chocolate roulade is just
a fancy term for a chocolate
swiss roll !!
Swiss roll is made by rolling a thin sheet of
sponge cake spread with jam into a log shape. Usually served in slices, the
result is a spiral of cake layered with jam. Variations can include whipped
cream fillings, sometimes mixed with chopped fresh or dried fruit; the sponge
itself can also be flavoured with ingredients such as chocolate.
Swiss rolls should be
eaten within a few days of making. If cream is used in the filling, the roll
should be stored in the fridge in an airtight container.
The results are
heavenly; a small slice will do for every culinary occasion,
from the traditional afternoon coffee break to a special dinner party.
Enjoy !!!

Music - Themed Birthday Cake
Baking a themed cake makes a birthday or celebration truly special. Homemade birthday cakes always score high on taste, but not look as pretty as the ones at the baker's display window. A themed based birthday cake can make the day more special. Imagine the look of your friend or family member's face when they look at their birthday cake, which is based on the theme of their interests. WOW....
A music-themed birthday cake would be perfect for a musician or music lover.
Here is the cake, which I made for our friend, who is a great music lover and a musician.
Carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Iced in chocolate frosting.
Covered in blue fondant, decorated with fondant piano keys and guitar and drums fondant figures.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!!

Themed Fondant Cake (Teletubbies)
The fondant was actually pretty easy to work with. This was my first fondant cake, specially made for my friend’s son Joe, who was celebrating his 3rd birthday . He loves teletubbies .
This was my first time ever working with fondant. I made Marshmallow fondant(MMF) covered it over a vanilla cake filled with vanilla butter cream.
I loved the whole process of this, and I'm looking forward to doing this again!
